Issue #1
Released 21 June 2024
Thank you for your support and interest!
We are so excited to present our very first issue! Our team has been working hard for months to put everything together, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The theme for this issue is "What's your favorite part of Lockwood & Co.?" with a twist. We challenge you to take that theme and frame it as something you might see in one of Lockwood's gossip rags.
For example, if your favourite part of the show is the costumes, create art of your favourite character in street fashion! If you love Skull's snarky commentary, write an editorial from his perspective! If the food interests you, create a recipe for Lucy's favourite biscuits! We encourage you to push your creativity to its limits.
CONTRIBUTOR
GUIDELINES
We do have a few guidelines we require you to follow! Please do your best to consider these.
-
Contributors must be at least 13 years old at time of application
-
Contributors must be able to access and use Discord
-
Contributors must provide a working email address they check regularly.
-
Contributors will be required to provide image descriptions for any images included in their piece.
-
Contributors must be able to meet all deadlines or communicate delays to the mods promptly. Failure to meet deadlines and/or to communicate with mods will result in losing your slot in this zine.
All contributors will need to create one art or writing piece that is Lockwood & Co. related and fits our first issue’s theme, within the three month creation period.
They are expected to meet all deadlines promptly – if there is an emergency, we can work with you but communication is key.
When applying, we ask that applicants include three proposals for their possible piece. We will confirm the idea proposals with applicants only after they have been accepted as a zine contributor so these ideas are not final.
We will accept a wide variety of submissions. These include, but are not limited to:
